This below is a damaged original M-51 Linkert we made a donor and cut away the various passages. The carb was damaged on the front only. This is an early Linkert M-51. It revealed a lot about how the needle passages and idle passages connected. This early version uses a plug where they drilled to connect the bottom passages. Later versions used small threaded plugs instead of the larger "H" marked brass plug (similar to a freeze plug). Note the small idle passage with two small drilled holes connected by a small, clean, .009 slot connecting the two drill holes.
