images of the aluminum ULH 80" patterns along with the plastic master patterns. There are 2 of each pattern made from the 4 molds below. The durable aluminum patterns were cast from the plastic master patterns.

Images of the 4 mold and the original 80" ULH cylinders which were donors for the molds. The removable sections are essentially the sections that would be incorporated into the 3rd cores to complete finned surfaces the "blocked" areas on the other sections of the finished patterns.

several more images of the mold (far left mold has some cracks) one with the removable pieces shown removed from the mold and pieces how they fit into the mold. Below are more shots of the master molds alongside the original split cylinders used to make the molds.

another series of shots of the raw cylinder barrel core plug, the aluminum patterns, the plastic master patterns and a back view of the aluminum patterns.

My last pattern maker damaged the cracked base flange in returned that once had a clean break and the bottom of the cylinder shirt still intact. At least the molds were made from the cylinder when the skirt was still intact. One image shows the average extra material added to the model base flange. A couple of images of how one of the cylinders was split through one of the valve passages.
